Maximum number of studs allowed per tire is TBD but likely 300. Why? 2 reasons – we need to minimize the amount of ice hogged out over 500 miles (last year we saw 15″ ruts). We also like the idea of evening out the playing field and putting more focus on driver skill. This will be strictly enforced and will be measured at safety inspection. Stud height cannot exceed 5/16 head. No chisel heads, spikes or shop made studs.  If you have questions about stud patterns or stud technique, we recommend you contact our stud sponsor  Kold Kutter
